Recently I migrated to Woo Coommerce for my PayPal Cart. The first issue I ran in to, which will lead to the issue I am going to highlight, is that PayPal was returning EWP_SETTINGS as an error return in the URL, with the unhelpful message to the effect of “Things are not working right now. Try again later.”

Integrating encrypted paypal buttons is a pain! Hopefully this helps. Basically it is a 4 stage process. I have put it together from postings on other sites.

You may also see this if Encrypted Website Payments is set to ON in your Paypal account. Setting it to OFF will resolve the issue.
